Meet the Movement and Quality of Life Team: How Tracy, Tanya & Janet Help You Move and Heal at HEC
At Healthy Essentials Clinic (HEC), we believe movement is more than just exercise – it’s healing, empowering, and essential for total well-being. Whether you’re working through chronic pain, recovering from cancer treatment, or simply trying to feel more connected to your body, our integrative care model weaves movement into your health journey in a thoughtful and meaningful way. This month, we’re highlighting three of the incredible women who support our clients through movement at HEC: Tracy, Tanya, and Janet. Each one brings a unique approach, deep expertise, and a passion for helping others heal from the inside out.

Tracy – Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Tracy is a vital part of our movement team with over 20 years of experience helping people recover from injury and chronic pain. Her practice goes far beyond traditional massage. Tracy draws from her training in Fascial, Visceral, Lymphatic, and Craniosacral Therapy to restore mobility, reduce pain, and release tension patterns held deep in the body.
With a background in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and ongoing professional development in osteopathy, breathwork, and Pilates, Tracy brings a “whole body and systems” perspective to every session. Her work helps improve circulation, support the nervous system, and gently guide the body toward ease and balance.

Tanya – Pilates Instructor & Program Manager
Tanya is the heart behind our Pilates program at HEC. A former competitive figure skater turned movement teacher, Tanya combines her certifications in Pilates, Behaviour Intervention Therapy, and Hatha Yoga to support clients of all ages and abilities.
After personally experiencing the healing power of Pilates during her own recovery from spinal and hip injuries, Tanya became passionate about helping others rediscover trust and curiosity in their bodies. Her approach is mindful and fun – she creates space for people to breathe, move, and build strength in a way that feels accessible and empowering.
Whether you’re dealing with injury, working on injury prevention, or simply seeking to move better, Tanya’s playful and personalized approach makes every session count.

Janet – Physiotherapist & Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Janet brings decades of experience in oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy to HEC. Having worked both in private practice and at BC Cancer Agency, Janet understands the unique movement and healing needs of those undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.
Her expertise includes managing scar tissue, radiation fibrosis, cording, reduced range of motion, and swelling due to lymphedema. As a LANA-Certified Therapist, Janet is a leader in her field and passionate about expanding access to cancer rehab services in the Okanagan region.
Janet believes deeply in restoring function, comfort, and dignity through movement, and her care is an integral part of HEC’s commitment to full-body healing.
