Supporting Youth with Autism: Celebrating World Autism Awareness Day at HEC

To our HEC community! Spring is finally here, bringing with it a fresh start and a new month filled with opportunities for growth and awareness. At Healthy Essentials Clinic (HEC), we are especially passionate about recognizing April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day – a global initiative dedicated to increasing awareness, promoting understanding, and advocating for the rights of individuals with autism. This day encourages communities to foster inclusivity and support, ensuring that every person on the autism spectrum has the opportunity to thrive.

At HEC, we are proud to contribute to this mission by providing comprehensive, wrap-around services designed to make the path forward easier. We collaborate with families, doctors, the Ministry for Children and Families, Community Living BC, and Autism BC, and Canucks Autism Network to ensure that families receive the guidance, support, and resources they need. Our team is committed to understanding your unique needs and providing compassionate, expert care to help your child thrive.

How We Support Youth with Autism

Our Movement and Body Work Services for Youth Program is designed to address the unique needs of children aged 6-19 who may experience neurological or physical challenges. With a family-centered approach, we integrate therapies like:

Massage Therapy – Helps regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.
Pilates & Movement Therapy – Improves body awareness, coordination, and posture.
Breathwork & Regulation Techniques – Supports emotional regulation, sleep, and overall well-being.

Through this individualized program, we aim to enhance movement, improve self-regulation, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Who Can Benefit from Our Program?

Does your child need extra support with any of the following?

🔹 Anxiety & Sleep Issues
🔹 ADHD & Autism
🔹 Emotional Dysregulation & Body Dysmorphia
🔹 Balance, Coordination & Postural Awareness
🔹 Surgical Recovery & Concussion Rehabilitation

If so, our Movement and Body Work Services for Youth may be the perfect fit!
