Hi there, it’s Christina again! I’m so excited to welcome you to Nutrition Month – a time to celebrate the profound impact food has on our health and well-being. The theme, Nourish to Flourish, beautifully highlights how nutrition is more than just fuel for our bodies; it nurtures emotional resilience, strengthens social connections, and empowers communities to thrive.
As John-Paul Cody-Cox, CEO of Dietitians of Canada, puts it, “Nourish to Flourish Nutrition Month 2025 will encapsulate the transformative role that food and nutrition play in our lives, going far beyond simply meeting physical needs.”

Simple Ways to “Nourish to Flourish” This Month
We would love for you to get involved! Here’s some small changes that can have a big impact on your health:
Eat More Whole Foods – Focus on nutrient-rich, minimally processed foods that support energy, digestion, and overall well-being.
Challenge: Add a new vegetable to your regular options and be curious about the different ways it can be prepared.
Stay Hydrated – Drinking enough water is essential for digestion, cognitive function, and overall vitality.
Challenge: Consider having only 1, 250 ml caffeinated beverage/day. See if this helps to improve your daily hydration.
Practice Mindful Eating – Slow down, savor your meals, and listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues.
Challenge: Describe the flavours, textures, and meal presentation to a friend or family member. Engage your senses, so you can enjoy the experience in a meaningful way.
Make One Small Change – Whether it’s adding an extra serving of veggies to your plate or trying milk again as your beverage of choice, small steps add nutrients, and this improves your health!
